Terms of use

Last updated 26 October 2026.

Noisefloor is a free public site run by The Intelligence Company. By using it you accept these terms and the terms of the third-party services named below.

What the site is

Noisefloor publishes analysis of publicly available data about GNSS interference and maritime activity. It is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability. Do not use it for navigation or safety-of-life decisions. Positions and other values are what aircraft and ships reported, and those reports can be wrong, jammed or spoofed; the methods and their limits are on the Methods and Validation pages.

Reusing the data

Data derived from ADS-B is published under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0), with attribution to adsb.lol contributors. Every other source keeps its own licence, listed on the Sources page; downloads and their columns are described on the Data page. Satellite imagery is not part of any download. Where a card or page shows data from EASA, ESA, CelesTrak (USSPACECOM data) or an official notice, the credit shown there goes with any reuse. The site's source code is published on GitHub under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0-only).

Privacy

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Layer choices on the maps are kept in your own browser. Cloudflare hosts the site and handles each request, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Some parts load from other services, which receive your IP address when your browser fetches from them: map code from cdnjs and jsDelivr, Sentinel-2 imagery from Microsoft Planetary Computer, Esri imagery from Esri, and live space-weather data from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center (on the home page). To decide whether Esri imagery may be offered, the site checks the country your connection comes from; it does not store the answer.

Changes and questions

These terms may change; the date above shows the last change. Questions: open an issue in the source code repository.
